How do you Spot an 85 Berlinetta ???  Well the 85 Berlinetta was the first year with a newly styled exterior and interior patterns.  The Digital interior remained the same with a few minor exceptions.  The 85 and 86 Berlinettas are very much the same with only very minor details separating the 2 years of production.  The Berlinetta V8 drive train was still the same set-up & used a Carb V8 - but the V6 was upgraded to the new Multi Port Fuel Injected motor.  The V6 could use a automatic or standard transmission - but the V8 only got a automatic from the factory.  The V8 engines were also equipped with an "Electronic Spark Control" system that incorporated a engine knock sensor and ignition module to control the distributor timing under certain conditions.

The Berlinetta interior remained as comfortable as possible due to the "Standard" custom cloth interior, but the fabric style had changed again and for the first time a true black interior color could be ordered.. The fabric still used a stripped pattern - but it didn't use the bold black stripes of the previous year.

The Berlinetta Exterior got a major facelift in 1985 that included a newly styled nose as well as newly designed pin-striping.  The Tail Lights still used the same one raised GOLD Separator bar tail lights and the front Lenses were still clear - but the front lenses changed style due to the newly styled nose.  Also new for the Berlinetta (and all other Camaros) was the addition of a Fog light option from the factory.

A word on badges.....  In 1985 the Berlinetta still had a  "CAMARO" logo embossed in the dash housing.  All the exterior emblems now used a upper case "B" in the signature.  The nose header emblem carries a GOLD Bow Tie ( as do all the Berlinetta cars) and the front and rear bumper emblems are plastic.  The rear bumper emblem had no Bow Tie next to it,   The sail panel emblems were plastic and the sail emblems and CAMARO fender emblems were still gold colored.  The wheel hub caps also reflected the new "Berlinetta" script.
