PAINT !
Back Ground
Bought this car
with (what was supposed to be ) a blown head gasket one winter; Turns out
the intake gaskets failed causing teh coolant to mix with the oil. I
intended to get the car rebuilt during the off-season so it could get painted in
the spring. When the spring came I wanted to do a little work to my house
before getting into body/metal work,........ and then the car sat for 5-6 years
while I rebuilt almost the entire house. I finally got back to work on it
and did a ton of sanding to save the body from the layer of surface rust that
had started to appear. Once the body was "done" ( replaced door hinges,
Fenders, Hood, Rear Hatch, ect.. ) I realized that even with a low Odometer
reading that this car was never gonna' be worth BIG $ so I decided to convert
the original automatic Tranny to a Manual T5. After about a year of
working the bugs out ( Alignment, Tranny rebuild, E-Brake problems, Rear end
swaps, ect... ) the car runs / drives like a dream and handles like a
Thirdgen should handle !
